PlantID is a free, no-signup plant identifier built by a small team of botanists, designers and engineers who believe that recognising the living world around us is a small but powerful act of attention. A walk through your neighbourhood becomes infinitely richer when you know the names of the trees on your street, the herbs in your garden, and the wildflowers on the verge.

We built PlantID because every other plant identification app we tried either gated the basics behind a subscription, demanded an account, or returned a vague guess with no useful follow-up. PlantID does the opposite: every identification is free, comes with a complete care profile, and never asks you to sign in.

Our identification is powered by a state-of-the-art multimodal vision model that recognises more than 400,000 plant species, then layered with curated horticultural data so you get accurate care information for every result.
